As similarly noted in the Buildings page, I've decided it would be better to keep this all together into one thorough article...there's too much overlap of information in the content that's yet to come. Other pages linking to specific resources should specify the subsection within this page (using the #Hash Symbol, and resources names in the link and headings should use plural form wherever appropriate (i.e. Horses, Livestock, Clay, Books, Beer, but not 'Woods' which changes the meaning of the word). --HonoredMule 20:10, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

UPDATE: I've figured out how to make resource pages redirect to a subsection within the Resources page. Because of this, for both simplicity and improved maintenance, it is no longer required to make the links like Wood or Spear links--Wood or Spear will now suffice. (We will just make additional redirects for non-plural variants.) To make the redirects, just create a page at the target of the link, and write (for example):

#REDIRECT Resources#Wood

Basic rescource is confusing and what it says about it is partially false. Do we really need this category. It's easy to get it messed up with Base rescource...Bartimeus 13:01, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

"Basic Resources" is a term used and defined by the game itself. It is quite useless in terms of identifying resource attributes aside from "not advanced" but will still come up and its definition be sought. "Base Resources" on the other hand has a functional meaning (gathered over time instead of produced from other resources) making it useful for communication.

Furthermore, Primary and Secondary categories are accurately defined in-game and out of game, and Basic/Advanced are supposed to be the same thing, as I learned from Stormcrow. I will re-tackle clearing up terminology when I overhaul the resources page into a complete section with these terms used as categories (at the same time that I release the new icons, immediately after getting a new theme).--HonoredMule 13:39, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

The following task has been assigned to HonoredMule's(Talk,Todo) maintenance list.

Make a resource table with resources down left and properties down right (can ship, can steal with basic, can steal with advanced, can raid, etc.)
