These range from completely manual devices right up to perfectly automated ones and are meant to cater to varying needs and budgets.
Types of Hearing Aids
There are many types of hearing aids available. The two most popular forms are the in-the-ear and the behind-the-ear variety. Behind-the-ear hearing aids are generally fitted right into the ear canal, thus fooling the ear canal into believing the device is actually present there. On the other hand, in-the-ear hearing aids are more discrete and are therefore more comfortable for the wearer. They are also more suited to more severe cases of hearing loss since they can be worn in different ways.
