  • Field Cottage is in Peterstow near the town of Ross-On-Wye in the heart 

    Field Cottage is in Peterstow near the town of Ross-On-Wye in the heart of the Wye Valley Area of Natural Beauty, Herefordshire.

    The house and annex are Wye Valley Holiday Cottages situated in a very peaceful lane in the Peterstow countryside, however the location is still very well connected to the the market town of Ross-On-Wye (10 mins drive) and Hereford (20 mins drive). There are views of the countryside from every window and the house is far enough away from the nearest neighbours to provide a high level of privacy. There are many places to visit in the local area suitable for walkers, children and adults.

    The holiday cottage Herefordshire Holiday Cottages is available for hire and has 4 bedrooms inside the main house plus a self contained 1 bedroom annex with kitchen/living area. All of the house and separate self contained annex are available. You’ll be able to access the whole property privately including the gardens.

    Check in is at 4pm and check out at 10am. 

    Early check in and later check out may be available if not other bookings are in place on the day of arrival or departure. Please kindly ask and we’ll see if it’s possible.

    Please kindly check that the rooms are suitable for your requirements. Please note that the property could take up to 12 guests however this would include a sofa bed and camp bed for 2 guests in the annex living area. Just to note that the bulk beds in the kids room are big enough for adults however the décor of the room is for children.

    Field Cottage is a charming country cottage is in a peaceful location with country views from every window. It’s 10 minutes drive to Ross-On-Wye.

    The cottage was built in 1850 and has 4 bedrooms upstairs. There are 2 living rooms downstairs, a dining room along with a well equipped kitchen.

    Inside has 4 bedrooms, 2 living spaces, dining room & kitchen. There are bunk beds in the kids room however these would be suitable for adults as standard single bunks.

    Bedding, sheets, towels, toilet rolls shampoo and shower gel are included.

    There is a dishwasher, cooker, hobs, microwave, washing machine & tumble dryer at the propery.

    A stair gate is available for the top of the stairs for guests who require one during their stay. A travel cot, mattress and sheets are also available.

    Always keep your feet on the foot pegs. Or, for better riding, install nerf bars. If you let your feet hang to the side, your feet will be at risk of getting caught in the back tires.

     

    Do Not Attempt Wheelies

     

    No rider should stunt ride, regardless of skill level. But beginners should absolutely avoid even the smallest stunts.

     

    A wheelie will likely put you flat on your back with your quad landing on top of you. And so will pressing too hard on the throttle, or riding up a ramp into the back of a truck.

    Practice, Practice, Practice!

     

    Practice pressing the throttle slowly, steering, using the clutch, shifting, and using the brakes.

     

    Always keep your fingers near the brake and clutch levers. And practice standing up when riding, hovering just above the seat with your elbows out and knees bent. Don’t lock your elbows.

     

    Do Not Ride with Passengers

     

    Unless you are riding on a UTV meant for two people, do not ride with a passenger as it will increase the risk of accidents and rolling over.

Often the SCDW will cover cost of services like car replacement and repairs in emergencies. You need to check the policy papers in detail as SCDW varies from country to country and even company to company.

     

    ·        Car Rental Excess Protection Insurance

    Often this is considered as another name for SCDW and is mainly offered in Europe and some other regions. Excess protection Insurance actually means that for a fee the rental agency is waiving the excess amount they will charge for damage in a car with normal CDW.

    CDW and SCDW are usually provided by the car rental company and are often exorbitantly charged. The damage charges are also often massive.  An excess protection Insurance from a third-party insurance provider can be beneficial in lowering your pay out considerably. This is normally cheaper, and also covers more of the car in case of a damage. Typically, a car excess insurance covers wheel, tyres, undercarriage, roof and windscreen. Often this also covers theft or damage of the car by vandalism and this feature is extremely beneficial in alien cities.

    Another advantage of an excess protection Insurance is that you can buy a daily or an annual policy. An annual policy will be far cheaper and convenient for the frequent traveler.

Parken är 1,5 gånger större än den massiva Serengeti och det är hem för ett stort antal djur, inklusive många av de ikoniska afrikanska däggdjur som lejon, hyena, elefant, buffel, impala, zebra, Thomsons gasell och leopard. Parken har bara några loger och får fortfarande ett lågt antal turister, så du kommer att se många djur men få safari-jeppar.
