  • 4 Reasons Why You Should Quit Smoking

In order to quit smoking, you need to start with a desire to quit. It is pointless to try the various techniques available if you have no serious intention of quitting. Not every smoker wants to quit. Whilst there are some who tried but failed, there are also those who have no intention to quit. To the latter group, we can just wish you all ‘Happy Smoking and Please Take Care’.

Often we hear smokers saying they intend to quit smoking, but the next time you see them, you still see cigarettes dangling from their mouth.

If we want to quit smoking successfully, it is not enough to merely state, “I wan to quit smoking.” You need a good reason. And it must be a sound reason to make you committed, determined and motivated to accomplish the task. With a strong and meaningful reason, your chances for success are greatly enhanced.

Let’s look at some common reasons given by those who wish to quit smoking:

Reason 1: Smoking Is a Very Bad Habit

This appears to be like an acceptable reason but in reality, it is very difficult for us to psyche ourselves into action as we all know that we are creatures of habits. There are a lot of our other bad habits that we do not complain about. So why make a fuss over e-Zigarette

If one has to address this particular bad habit, then what about the many others like picking your nose while waiting for the traffic lights to turn green, or not washing your hands after going to the toilet and going to bed without washing your feet?

Personally, I suggest you better look for some better reasons to quit smoking.

Reason 2: Smoking Is Bad For Health

This is another reason that is tailored for failure. Of course, everybody, both smokers and no-smokers alike know that cigarettes are bad for health. But that doesn’t make everybody scramble to kick this unhealthy habit. Why? That’s because the damage does not show up immediately.

Reason 3: I Just Had a Massive Heart Attack the Other Day

In this care, you better quit. You must be a first class moron or the leading village idiot if you don’t.

For smokers, ‘Seeing believes’. Such a life-threatening situation would surely convince them that smoking is extremely bad for the health.

Reason 4: Smokers Are Not Welcome By Others

What happened if your boss or your mother-in-law could not tolerate your smoking habit anymore? Is that a strong enough reason to quit? Or what if your office is located in a no-smoking building? Is the inconvenience of having to go down for a smoke a motivating factor for you to quit?

Or the girl you are getting all excited about dislike people who smoke? For lucky you, it is she and no one else. Would you, therefore, quit smoking because of her?

The world has changed. No-smokers are now standing up and making a public statement about their displeasure towards smoking. This demand has led to rulings like no-smoking restrictions at shopping complexes and airports, no-smoking section at restaurants, no-smoking rules during flights, no-smoking rooms in hotels and so on.

The situations indicated above do provide a strong reason for quitting, even though the decision to do so is due to external pressures rather than one’s own free will. The decision to do so is due to external pressures rather than one’s own free will. In a way, there is a certain level of resentment and reluctance on the part of the smoker to quit. Obviously this will create an additional burden in one’s effort to quit smoking.

Once you get a strong reason to quit smoking, you may try the stop smoking herbs quit smoking methods. They are specially formulated to help you to deal with your withdrawal symptoms.

  • How to Smoke Ribs at Home

Mmmm… smoked ribs – one of the great American traditions that seem to stand the test of time. It used to be if you wanted great smoked ribs you had to go out and that special place that cooks them just right. Now with all of the barbecue smokers on the market it is possible to get that same down home rib experience e-Zigarette.

BBQ smokers come in many varieties. There is the traditional charcoal and wood smokers that use charcoal or hickory as the main heat and smoke source. There are also water vapor smokers that combine either charcoal or propane as the heat source with container of water to add moisture to the ribs. Electric smokers have come on to the market lately and are super convenient for the everyday outdoor cooker.

Once you have decided on a good barbecue smoker, you want to go out and find yourself a nice rack of ribs. They can be either beef or pork ribs. Try and get a rack that has not been frozen and has a pink color to it. Buying the pre-trimmed ribs is a lot easier. Ask the butcher if he/she can do this for you if they are not trimmed.

When you get the ribs home, take the membrane off of the back of ribs the night before you will smoke them. This will make the ribs tenderer. You can use a knife to start the process and pull the rest off with your thumb and forefinger in combination with the knife to ensure all of the membrane gets separated.

To prepare the ribs for smoking, you’ll want to apply thin layer of either mustard or olive oil as a base coat for the dry rub. This coating will help the dry rub stick to the ribs better. After you coat the ribs, apply a good dry rub that you can either purchase or create from scratch. There are many good recipes online. After you have applied the dry rub store the ribs in the refrigerator overnight.

When you get ready to smoke the ribs, pull the ribs out of the refrigerator and let them get to room temperature. Pre heat your smoker to about 250 degrees. This is the ideal temperature to smoke ribs at. It’s a good idea to use a thermometer and place it where the ribs will go to get an accurate reading.

If you don’t have a water vapor type of barbecue smoker, you can use a mop to apply the moisture. You’ll want to use a mixture of forty percent cooking oil and sixty percent apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle. Let the ribs smoke for about 5 hours at 250 degrees applying the mop about every 45 minutes or so. Wrap the ribs in tin foil and apply a mop for the last 30 minutes. Make sure the damper is open to release the smoke otherwise the ribs will be bitter.

If you want barbecue sauce, you should apply it after the ribs are done. If you like your ribs dry then just pull them out the smoker and serve as is. That’s all there is to it! Happy smoking!

  • What the Home Security Experts Are Saying These Days

Have you ever had a home security professional come to your home and check on it? Or just updated yourself with what security experts are recommending. If you haven’t done either of these things in a while, you could be in danger of disaster. This could happen in the form criminal activity or the terrible effects of natural/environmental factors. It is easier than ever to keep up with security experts’ latest ideas and recommendations. There are many ways to do this.

There are two options. One, there is traditional print media. Home owners can subscribe to a monthly security-focused publication for a low price. Two, there is the internet. Home security experts insist on home automation technology. This is because it increases energy efficiency and reduces the use of precious resources like water and gas. What exactly is home automation?

This is a good question, as many homeowners have never heard of it. Home automation is also known as home appliances control systems. It involves centralizing and streamlining a home’s electrical and electronic appliances. It’s likely to be added to the system if it is plugged in regularly. Home automation is a way for the homeowner (or any other authorized member of the household) to control various appliances through an electronic interface. This console can be installed in the wall and acts as a traditional home security hub. It can also be controlled through a mobile device, computer or cell phone.

Remote control is one of the greatest perks of home automation. Home owners and authorized family members can access appliances, schedules and switch them on/off from anywhere they have internet or phone reception. It is possible to turn the lights, radio, and television remotely from a house that is empty, which is an important way to avoid break-ins.

Experts are also recommending other home security options, such as video surveillance for remote monitoring and control. This could be done via the same interface as your home automation system.

  • Love and Marriage – Robots Designed to Replace Humans in Next Five Years?

Imagine the year 2040, our energy source is outer space and nearly everyone is happily married. However, a normal person cannot tell one thing by looking at many of these beautiful spouses. They cannot see that many of them are robots. True to form and a perfect match for the person beside them. Is this the future of happy relationships? Many scientists claim that it is. At first it may seem a bit strange to the average person, but there are, in fact, individuals who see this as something they would be seriously interested in if and when it appears within the next five years or so. Some of the new developers are Japanese scientists who are naming the new robot android Repliee Q1 Expo. She breathes like a human, flutters her eyelids like a human and even moves like a real human! The robot has over 42 actuators. But as I have come to understand, it is merely the tip of the iceberg as of present time.

Who in the world would marry such a robot? Who knows. But there is evidence out there that there are indeed plans to develop more humanlike robots for the purpose of assisting humans with their every, and I mean every, emotional and physical need. I sit here now writing about this after doing much research on the subject today and realize that it may be quite accepted as a normal undertaking in the future where man will have the option to be with and marry whomever he or she pleases. This does bring up the question of ethics which is indeed a raging topic involving these sorts of things. But would it really be a bad thing for individuals who cannot actually find a partner who either loves them back, can put up with their personality or mental stability, or just cannot appreciate the way their appearance naturally is?

Developers today are putting the pieces to the puzzle together for just this reason. They want to create a robot that ‘bonds’ with humans and provides all that our individual urges require. Now, this being said, I would say that is a marvelous idea for many of those who have problems socially or are displeased with what their current relationships provide them both physically and emotionally. Could a robot be an acceptable way to ‘fill in the gaps’ in relationships in the future? What if these ‘devices’ did actually come into play and replaced items such as the ever popular vibrator, dolls, prostitutes and such? What would this do to the Japanese sex dolls It is indeed truth that the technology is here to create such a robotic rendezvous. In 2006, Henrik Christensen, who is the founder of the European Robotics Research Network, predicted that people will be having sex with robots within five years. As there are already lifelike items a person can buy, now all they have to do is add some electronics and a little software, make some major adjustments and presto-whammo…you’ve got ‘love’ in the air.

For centuries, this band of Native Americans lived off of the bounty to be had in this unique desert, ecosystem.

The region was ideal for habitation, and the Agua Caliente took advantage of the resources in the area and survived by living off of the land. They used multitudes of desert plants for food, clothes, medicine and hunted game such as deer, bighorn sheep, rabbits and other small animals. They also used an elaborate irrigation system to aid in the production of crops that were brought by the Spanish including corn, squash, beans and melons.

Sadly, in 1862 a small pox epidemic brought about by the influx of whites into the area almost completely wiped out the Agua Caliente altogether. In 1925, only 50 Agua Caliente remained. Today, there are 240. They still hold the majority of the land in the Palm Springs area and run successful casinos and other tourist attractions in the area.

Continuing throughout the 19th century, numerous explorers, colonizers and soldiers came through the desert and remarked on the lush oasis to be found in the Coachella Valley, but no formal name had been given to the site. Often referred to as Palm Springs, Agua Caliente or Palm Valley, it wasn’t until 1890 when Harry McCallum wrote his address as Palm Springs that the region came to be known under those terms.

  • Football Boots (Soccer Cleats) The History

Football Boots: Earliest Recorded – King Henry VIII in 1526

King Henry VIII’s football boots were listed within the Great Wardrobe of 1526, a shopping list of the day. They were made by his personal shoemaker Cornelius Johnson in 1525, at a cost of 4 shillings, the equivalent of £100 in today’s money. Little is known about them, as there is no surviving example, but the royal football boots are known to have been made of strong leather, ankle high and heavier than the normal shoe of the day.

    Football Boots – The 1800’s

Moving forward 300 years saw football developing and gaining popularity throughout Britain, but still remaining as an unstructured and informal pastime, with teams representing local factories and villages in a burgeoning industrial nation. Players would wear their hard, leather work boots, which were long laced and steel toe-capped as the first football boots. These football boots would also have metal studs or tacks hammered into them to increase ground grip and stability.

As laws become integrated into the game in the late 1800’s, so saw the first shift in football boots to a slipper (or soccus) style shoe, with players of the same team starting to wear the same boots for the first time. Laws also allowed for studs, which had to be rounded. These leather studs, also known as cleats, were hammered into the early football boots, which for the first time moved away from the earlier favoured work boots. These football boots weighed 500g and were made of thick, hard leather going up the ankle for increased protection. The football boots would double in weight when wet and had six studs in the sole. The football boot had arrived…

    Football Boots – The 1900’s to 1940’s

Football boot styles remained relatively constant throughout the 1900’s up to the end of the second world war. The most significant events in the football boot world in the first part of the twentieth century were the formation of several football boot producers who are still making football boots today, including Gola (1905), Valsport (1920) and Danish football boot maker Hummel (1923).

Over in Germany, Dassler brothers Adolf and Rudolf formed the Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory) in Herzogenaurach in 1924 and began producing football boots in 1925 which had 6 or 7 replaceable, nailed studs, which could be changed according to the weather conditions of play.

    Football Boots – The 1940’s to 1960’s

Football boot styles shifted significantly after the end of the second world war, as air travel became cheaper and more international fixtures were played. This saw the lighter, more flexible football boot being worn by the South Americans being thrust onto the world stage, and their ball skills and technical ability amazed all those that watched them. Football boot production shifted to producing a lighter football boot with the focus on kicking and controlling the ball rather than simply producing a piece of protective footwear.

1948 saw the formation of the Adidas company by Adolf (Adi) Dassler after a falling out with his brother that was to form the cornerstone of football boot maker rivalry for the preceding years up to today. Brother Rudolf founded the beginnings of the Puma company in 1948, quickly producing the Puma Atom football boot. This led to interchangeable screw in studs made of plastic or rubber for the first time, reputedly by Puma in the early 1950’s but the honour is also claimed by Adidas (Read the Story on Footy-Boots). Football boots of the time were still over the ankle, but were now being made of a mixture of synthetic materials and leather, producing and even lighter shoe for the players of the day to display their skills with.

    Football Boots – The 1960’s

The technological developments of the sixties bought a momentous step-change in design which saw the lower cut design introduced for the first time in football history. This change allowed players to move faster and saw the likes of Pele wearing Puma football boots in the 1962 World Cup Finals. Adidas, though, quickly emerged as the market leader, a position it claims until the present day. In the World Cup Finals of 1966, an astonishing 75% of players wore the Adidas football boot.

The 1960’s also saw several other football boot makers joining the market with their own brands and styling including Mitre (1960), Joma (1965) and Asics (1964).

    Football Boots – The 1970’s

The seventies began with the iconic 1970 World Cup Finals which saw a sublime Brazilian team lift the trophy with Pele again at the helm, this time wearing the Puma King football boot. The decade itself will be remembered for the way in which football boot sponsorship took off, where players were being paid to wear only one brand. In terms of design and style, technological advancements produced lighter boots, and a variety of colours, including for the first time, the all-white football boot.

In 1979, Adidas produced the world’s best selling football boot the Copa Mundial, built of kangaroo leather and built for speed and versatility. Although Adidas remained dominant, several other football boot makers joined the fray including Italian football boot maker Diadora (1977).

    Football Boots – The 1980’s

The greatest development of recent times in the design and technology of football boots was developed in the eighties by former player Craig Johnston, who created the Predator football boot, which was eventually released by Adidas in the 1990’s. Johnston designed the Predator to provide greater traction between football boot and the ball, and football boot and the ground. The design allowed for greater surface areas to come into contact with the ball when being hit by the football boot, with a series of power and swerve zones within the striking area allowing the player to create greater power and swerve when hitting the “sweet spots”. The eighties also saw football boots for the first time being made by English company Umbro (1985), Italy’s Lotto and Spain’s Kelme (1982).

1994 saw Adidas release the Craig Johnston designed Predator with its revolutionary design, styling and technology making it an instant and lasting success. The Predator by now featured polymer extrusion technologies and materials allowing for a more flexible sole as well as the conventional studs being replaced by a bladed design covering the sole, giving a more stable base for the player. In 1995 Adidas released their bladed outsole traxion technology which are tapered shaped blades. Puma hit back in 1996 with a foam-free midsole football boot, known as Puma Cell Technology, to which Adidas responded again, this time with wedge shaped studs in the same year. The nineties saw new football boot producers Mizuno release their Mizuno Wave in 1997. Other new football boots came from Reebok (1992) and Uhlsport (1993) with other companies also joining the ever increasing, lucrative and competitive market place. Most significantly the nineties saw the entry of Nike, the world’s biggest sportswear producer, immediately making an impact with its Nike Mercurial soccer boot (1998), weighing in at just 200g.

    Football Boots – 2000+

As technology advanced still further, the application of the new research and developments were seen in the years into the new millennium right up to the present day and this has led to a reinforcement of the market positions of the big three football boot makers and sellers, Puma, Nike and Adidas (incorporating Reebok since 2006). Fortunately, there still remains room in the market place for the smaller producer that does not have the big money endorsement contracts at its disposal, such as Mizuno, Diadora, Lotto, Hummel and Nomis.

Recent developments since 2000 have seen the Nomis Wet control technology producing a sticky boot (2002), the Craig Johnston Pig Boot (2003), shark technology by Kelme (2006) and the exceptional design of the Lotto Zhero Gravity laceless football boots (2006) all of which underpin the successes that these smaller makers can achieve by producing specialised and technologically advanced football boots that provide a distinct differentiation from the mass produced products of the big three. Laser technology has also helped to produce the world’s first fully customised football by Prior 2 Lever, which is perhaps the most exciting and innovative of the recent developments.

Current favourite football boots include Adidas’ F50, Tunit and Predator; Nike’s Mercurial Vapor III, Air Zoom Total 90s and Tiempo Ronaldinho, Reebok Pro Rage and Umbro X Boots.

    Football Boots – The Future

As the debate rages with regards the lack of protection given by modern football boots, and the repercussion in terms of player injuries, there seems little to suggest that the major manufacturers are going to give up their quest for the lightest football boot for a more https://www.newscalciomercato.eu/ . The proliferation of big money sponsorship deals, namely Nike Ronaldinho, Adidas with David Beckham and Reebok with Thierry Henry, has become a huge factor that drives the success and sales of a football boot maker, but is viewed as at a cost of injury and stagnation in football boot research and development. All we can predict for the future is integration with sensor technology, lighter and more powerful football boots and more outlandish designs and styles.
